Annweiler, Germany (Chestnut Festival)

After a fun morning touring the Trifel's Castle, we hopped back on our tour bus and headed into downtown Annweiler.

Annweiler is a lovely little village in the Palatinate forest, a perfect setting for their annual chestnut festival!

There were tons of vendors lining the alleyways selling all sort of interesting things!

And, the kids had a blast on all the rides!

...and of course, there was the yummy food!

My first taste of neuer wein!

After we had lunch we headed back to the tour bus to let the little one rest up...

Soon we were heading to our last stop of the day, Berwarstein Castle!
