Cochem, Germany (Christmas Market)

Had a fun day in Cochem, Germany checking out their annual Christmas Market! The town is really lovely and there are several things you can do in the area, including the Cochem Castle and historic mustard mill (but we saved this for another day).

Our focus was on the Christmas Market.  It was a really cute little market with lots of yummy food and gluhwein!

We were a little nervous driving into town (the roads were a smidge tight) but we found parking downtown by the river and close to the market.

Our first stop was food (again, the main reason we go to a festival or market in the first place...don't judge).  They had really good bratwurst and even better gluhwein!

After lunch we walked around downtown to see all the shops and half-timbered buildings...and maybe have some more gluhwein...

We ended the day with some ice-cream (cause it's never too cold for ice cream!) and a walk down to the Cochem Sesslebahn.  The chairlift was closed for the winter but it looks like something fun to do in the summertime...I bet it has amazing view of the Mosel River!

Perfect end to another great "Family Fun Day!"
