Kaiserslautern, Germany (Kaiserslautern Zoo)

Had a fun afternoon visiting the animals at the Kaiserslautern Zoo.  The zoo itself isn't that big but it is very family-oriented and we had a good time!

The main attraction (to us, anyway) was the lion near the front of the zoo.  There was also a neat little trail you can take around a portion of the zoo with some interesting exhibits (in German).

After walking around the little pathways, we went inside the reptile and monkey house.

There is a small pond and park area in front of the zoo where you can enjoy a picnic lunch as well as a restaurant inside, but we ate before we got there.  We did enjoy some yummy (albeit pricey) slushies near the playground inside the park though.

After a refreshing slushy break we let them play at the playground inside the zoo before it was time to head home...
